USE OF COOKIES
1 Cookies
The Smiletex.ee online store uses so-called cookies. Cookies are information that is transferred from the online store or a third-party web server to the user’s – or customer’s – web browser so that it can be found there later. Cookies can be small files or other data storage devices.
Cookies can be used to match the information and offers in the online store to the customer’s needs. Cookies allow the seller to recognize visitors. The purpose of such recognition is to make it easier for the customer to use the Smiletex.ee online store.
Smiletex.ee uses temporary cookies. They are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. These primarily include session cookies. Session cookies store a so-called session ID, with which the customer’s various browser requests are combined into a common session. This way, the customer’s computer can be recognized when they return to the website. With the help of such cookies, Smiletex.ee can ensure the operation and functions of the website.
In addition, permanent cookies are also used. They remain on the hard drive of the customer’s computer even after the session ends. In particular, these cookies help the seller to make its offers user-friendly.
Non-personal cookies do not transmit personal data to the seller. Such cookies are, for example, statistical cookies. They collect and report information anonymously, helping the seller to understand how visitors act on the website.
Through advertising partners, Smiletex.ee places advertisements on other websites in order to show the customer only those advertisements that are actually of interest to him. This process uses so-called third-party cookies of such advertising partners, which are set by Smiletex.ee during the visit and read out by the respective advertising partner. Third-party cookies are temporary files that are stored in the customer’s browser for a maximum of 540 days after the last visit to the page and then expire automatically.
The customer can view and delete cookies stored on his computer and also configure their handling in his browser settings. More information can be obtained from the manufacturer or from the Help function of his web browser.
Allowing cookies is not a prerequisite for using Smiletex.ee. Most web browsers allow cookies automatically. If the customer does not want this, he can set his browser to inform him about cookies and allow him to allow them individually in each specific case. He can also set his browser so that the computer does not save cookies or sends a warning when a new cookie arrives. For example, some browsers offer the option to allow first-party cookies but block third-party cookies.
In addition, cookies that have already been allowed can always be deleted using the web browser or another software program. This is possible in all common web browsers. The customer can set a general blocking of cookies in his web browser settings. Blocking cookies may mean that the functions of the online offers are limited.
